Carnegie, a certified B-Corporation and leading textile industry innovator, has announced three key appointments to its executive staff.

Jim Kaplan is named CEO of Carnegie and joins the company’s Board of Directors. Ethan Thurow, a member of Carnegie’s Board of Directors, said, “In just nine months since joining Carnegie, Jim has developed a strong understanding of our products and markets, and he has positioned Carnegie to continue its tradition of innovation and leadership in interior and architectural textiles. His rounded financial skill set and strategic operational experience make him a perfect candidate to help me drive growth throughout the organization over the coming years," Jim Kaplan said.

A CPA with more than 15 years of experience in both public and private accounting, Weiss most recently served as Vice President of Finance for DCI-Design Communications, LLC, a private-equity-backed firm by Peterson Partners.

In that capacity, he built and oversaw the finance function and led the firm through a very successful sale to Marlin Equity Partners in May, 2018. Previously, he held leadership roles in audit, compliance, and finance at Arrow Electronics, a Fortune 150 company. Weiss began his career with KPMG, LLP, a top 4 public accounting firm.
