With the climate crisis getting worse, it’s imperative that manufacturers in the design industry do their part to not inflict any more harm on the environment, and companies like Carnegie are heeding that call. While Carnegie has done its part in the past to help ameliorate climate change with environmentally sustainable products like Xorel, now it is taking up a new charge: the company will no longer launch any products containing a stain resistant finish that includes any type of toxic PFAS-based chemical. And this fall Carnegie is debuting the Full Spectrum collection, which includes a broad range of performance textiles all achieved without using harmful “forever chemicals,” including PFAS.
