Red List Free means that textiles used for upholstery, walls, windows and panels are free of the Living Building Challenge's identified concerning chemicals and compounds. Commonly used chemicals on the Red List:

  • Pollute our environment
  • Bio-accumulate up the food chain until they reach toxic concentrations

The good news is that Carnegie's commitment to the environment and healthy finishes makes meeting Red List Free requirements an easy thing to do.

All of our upholstery, wallcoverings, drapery and panel fabrics have been vetted against the most current Living Building Challenge list and all of our products are Living Building Challenge Red List Free.

We can also provide you with “Declare” certification for all of our Xorel products.
