Basics & Benefits of Textile Recycling

As circular systems within the design world become the new norm, we explore textile recycling in the apparel industry to shed light on how to reduce textile waste. Currently very little is being done for the recycling of textiles used in built environments, this inspired us to dive into significant innovations around how apparel textiles are being repurposed and broken down once discarded. This CEU aims to educate design professionals on the importance of diverting textiles from landfills and highlights the recent discoveries in upcycling and redirecting end of life practices for textiles.
