What is Tekloom?
Tekloom is a high-performance fused textile. A woven textile that is chemically bonded with the durable components of a coated fabric to create an innovative fused textile.
Tekloom fuses the look of a textile and the performance of a coated fabric. It is a process that integrates a clear TPE top layer to a woven fabric without sacrificing the textile look and is a quantum leap ahead of other conventional PFC based stain-resistant systems like Crypton or Nanotex.
Is Tekloom a performance fabric?
Yes. They are ink and stain-resistant, impermeable to liquids, bleach-cleanable and pass a wear test of over one million double rubs, making them suitable for all high-traffic, performance applications.
How is it different from branded finishes?
Other competitive products treat the existing textile with a top-coat finish and provide a liquid barrier to protect the foam underneath, not protecting the textile itself. Almost all other SR topcoats use a PFC-based temporary liquid repellant treatment, allowing for everyday use to wear away at the protective coating. Tekloom is carefully engineered to include the performance attributes when created, enabling the performance characteristics of the textile to uphold for the lifespan of the product.
Is Tekloom considered a finish?
No. Unlike a finish that is only applied to the topcoat of a product, Tekloom fuses together the two products to create a new fused textile.
What is Graffiti-Free?
The term Graffiti-Free is a branded name for ink and stain-resistant coatings that are sometimes used in the industry. This means ballpoint pen on Tekloom Upholstery can be easily removed.
Where is it suitable to use?
Avenue and Boulevard, two of our Tekloom woven upholsteries, are suitable for all indoor upholstery applications in a wide-range of high-traffic interiors. They are suitable for restaurants, senior living facilities, education, healthcare environments and all other interiors that require a high performance textile.
